Council Dayton Axe - 3-1/2 lb Head - 36" Curved Handle

Council Tool Dayton Axe has a 3.5 lb Dayton pattern axe head outfitted with a 36 inch curved hickory handle. Cutting edge is approximately 4.75 inch of overall length and the poll is square. Its hand sharpened, tapered bit is used for cutting and splitting. Axe head is hydraulically seated onto handle and secured with a serrated aluminum wedge. Axe head is drop forged from high quality tool steel and is heat coated with red enamel. Cutting edge has clear lacquer to deter rust. The serrated shape improves bite, and the aluminum choice of material is strong, lightweight, and does not change size with moisture content. Made in USA.
