Gransfors Bruk 441 Small Splitting Axe with Collar Guard

Gransfors Bruk Splitting Axe cuts quickly and easily into the wood and then effectively splits it as the broader section pushes apart the wood. The handle has a protective steel collar below the axe head and circular grooves towards the end for an extra firm grip. There are two models available. Model 441 is a small splitting axe that can be used for medium-sized firewood. It weighs 3.5 pounds and length with handle is 23 inches. Model 442 is a large splitting axe that can be used for splitting all types of firewood. It weighs 5 pounds and length with handle is 27.5 inches. Both model axes are forged and ground to a concave, thin blade at the bit. Sheath is made of vegetable-tanned leather.
