Gransfors Bruk 1900 Broad Axe (Straight Handle) (Left Bevel Grind)

Gransfors Bruk Broad Axes Model 1900 are suitable for squaring logs and planks, as when building a log house. These Broad Axes have a traditional design but vary greatly depending on the shape of the head and edge, and the angle of the handle. The most common head and edge type for this axe have a blade centered in relation to the head and eye. A special-order version is also available, where the axe blade is slightly angled in relation to the head, allowing the axe to glide along the log, without its eye catching on the log. Gransfors Bruk Broad Axes Model 1900 have three grinding options and three options for the angle of the handle that can be specified when ordering. All options include a sheath in vegetable-tanned leather.
