Ochsenkopf Axe Sharpening Stone

Ochsenkopf OX 33-0200 Grindstones are actually a combination of a grindstone and a whetstone made of silicon carbide, a material considered to be among the hardest and best grinding abrasives. The OX 33-0200, with rounded edges, is ideally suited for tools with predominately flat cutting edges, including axes, hatchets, chisels and knives. One side is course- grained (120) for fast grinding, and the other is fine grained (320) for fine grinding and honing. Use with the following products for desired results: light oil for a fine honed finish; paraffin for a normal ground finish; water for a coarser ground finish; or dry for particularly heavy material removal.
